Highly recommended for flooring installation! Luis responded promptly to my quote request, showed up when he said he would, and gave me a thorough walk-through of the job, providing a lot of details. He followed up with a quote the same day, and started the next week, even a day sooner than I’d asked. He and Enrique showed up on time and ready to work, they did the demo in a half day, then came back and installed the flooring and baseboards in 1 day. I had about 800 sq ft of LVP put in, they removed all the old carpet, hard tile, and linoleum. They did a really nice job – a lot of attention to detail, nothing damaged, and they cleaned everything up great. They moved furniture and appliances; I just tried to remove smaller items and take things off shelves to make it easier for them. His quote was about the same as others, even a bit lower than some, and I feel I got good value for my money. And they’re very nice and smart guys. They listened to me and addressed all my concerns about particular things.

Let me start by first telling you that Luis, the owner, is amazing. He wants you to be 100% satisfied and will make that happen. He is professional, friendly and dies amazing work. He was always on time and went above and beyond to make sure I was happy. We have a complicated floor job and can only afford to do it at two separate jobs. The pictures I am posting is the first part of the job and I am beyond impressed and excited to have him come back to wood match the rest of the house. He made our old floors look new again and gave me exactly what I wanted. Selecting and trusting someone to refinish your hardwood floor is hard. The devil is in the detail. Luis was very knowledgeable and explained clearly all the steps and options available to us. From understanding the type of wood we have (and associated tone it has) to selecting a stain (and if it was or not necessarily) or choosing between regular vs commercial finish… Luis was very helpful. We understood everything before making our decision. Most importantly, Luis masters how it’s going to render at the end (not easy as the result when wet is very different from the result when fully dried/cured). Luis is very kind and patient (oh yes he was). Pricing is very competitive and Luis took care of everything: from getting all the furniture/appliances… off the floor, covering/protecting what couldn’t be moved, removing the old vents… to restoring the house as it was before. The only thing that I should have done differently was to move out upright piano by specialized movers as it was not fair on Luis. It’s very heavy. But Luis managed it perfectly. We would recommend Luis in a heartbeat. We are very particular. The result was exactly was we where expecting: the color we wanted (very hard to tune down the pink of red wood), the shine we wanted. We did 2/3 of our house that included the living space minus the rooms. We asked Luis to also take care of the rooms in a later phase.

I’ve used Luis for four apartment turnover “buff and coat” on the hardwood floors. Currently he charges $2sf so there is no mystery about the price. I’ve never met him in person. I found him on thumb track, and have kept his contact number. He goes right in, and gets the job done, sends me photos, and since I trust him, at this point, send the $$ via venmo. It always looks great when I go see. He usually gets the job done within a few days of my request. It’s so nice working with tradesmen you can count on, that charges a reasonable rate.
